How Dubai Visas Work
In Dubai Life, your legal status in the city is governed by the 5-tier Visa Ladder. Moving up the ladder unlocks longer residency, immunity from overstay fines, and prestige.
- Every new citizen arrives on a 30-Day Visit Visa.
- Your remaining visa days are tracked in Life Panel → Visa & Budget. If you have 5 days or fewer left, your Top Bar avatar status dot pulses red to warn you.
- If a Visit Visa expires without upgrading or renewing, daily overstay fines accrue until you regularize your status.
